If you’re looking for a {slightly} off the beaten path destination for your wedding or honeymoon, you love Mexico, are looking for a quick and easy flight but want to really get away from it all, then Rancho Pescadero is for you. Tucked in Todos Santos, Mexico, about 45 minutes North of Cabo San Lucas, you’ll enjoy the Pacific Ocean, wide white beaches, and the beauty of Cabo but without the hustle and bustle of being right in town.

Instead, when you arrive at Rancho Pescadero, a 28-room boutique hotel, you’ll find yourself part of the family right from the start. We recently got to visit the property while shooting a feature for Destination I Do Magazine (see all the amazing destination wedding photos here if you missed it!), and while we were there, I got to experience a little bit of laid back heaven.

The hotel has no phones, clocks or tv’s in the rooms, so that you can completely disconnect from the world and spend your days focused on which lounge bed you plan to nap in instead. Right on the ocean, you’ve got gorgeous views, the sounds of crashing waves (it’s not a swimming beach but a great place to throw a wedding!), and plenty of flora and fauna to get lost in.

Perfect for a buyout for a destination wedding, you can wed in the sand, celebrate with cocktails by the pool and dine and dance in their picture-perfect al fresco garden restaurant, that truly represents it’s name – the garden along side it is where the produce you enjoy actually comes from. And trust me, you’ll enjoy it. Some of the best food I’ve ever had in Mexico, I got to experience here. And thanks to on site mixologist, Danny, I even had perfectly paired cocktails using local ingredients to boot!

I can’t say enough about the food and drink – an element to your destination wedding that your guests will be raving about! And the staff serves it up with open arms and hearts (I even had a latte with my name in the foam). With an onsite wedding planner (who happens to be an ex-pat), and stunning sunsets at your ceremony site, Rancho Pescadero is certainly one to watch when considering an authentic destination wedding experience in Mexico. I know I’ll be back!
