Valentine’s Day Weddings

Happy Valentine’s Day friends! It’s a day of love and happiness today, so what better way to celebrate than sharing a pretty little V-Day post on lovely Valentine’s wedding ideas? To those planning a Valentine’s I do, there are plenty of great ways to incorporate the holiday of love into your own special day! The heart shape, of course can be used in many different areas (think escort cards or even wedding cake). Going with reds, pinks, golds, and white in the decor color will give it a definite Valentine’s Day feel. Don’t overdo it or this holiday can get kind of cheesy, but ladies and gents like you know how to incorporate just enough of the hearts and the red and pink colors, to make a beautiful atmosphere! Some ideas we found inspiring for a Valentine’s wedding include heart shaped invitations and other oodles of other paper goods. What a cute way to document your wedding day! You can also use the heart shape in your decor with garlands, hanging backdrops, and the wedding favors too. Mixing different hues of red and pink with flowers (paper flowers would be darling!) can also create a stunning view. There are plenty of ways to bring your Valentine’s Day wedding to life, just give it a try!

Valentine’s Day Weddings in Rome

Happy Valentine’s Day!!  In honor of this lovers’ holiday, we wanted to share a bit of wedding inspiration from Rome, Italy – the place where St. Valentine’s (Valentine of Rome) relics can be found today, at the Church of Saint Praxed.

If you’re getting married on this special calendar date, your design can be symbolic and meaningful even if red and pink aren’t poured into the palette.  In fact, typically those flowers go up in cost around the holiday (as do most flowers, but red and pink roses rising the most).  So why not incorporate the rich history that the city of Rome and surroundings have to offer?  Old world meets modern day wedding in the bustling city of love.

Happy Valentine’s Day friends!  And happy wedding day to those of you saying “I do”!

Heart Wedding Details

February is upon us and that means more engagement rings to be given and Valentine’s Day weddings!  Are you planning a quick getaway for a Valentine’s wedding?  Or perhaps you just love love and what to infuse a few romantic hearts into your big day.  Well, then this post is for you!  The heart details at a destination wedding can be a bit more creative than the average “I do” and we’re kicking off the concept with rocks, arrows, a handmade bouquet and more!  How will you include a heart or two into your wedding?  If your guest count is small, then I highly recommend rallying the group into formation for a photo op!

I love a little garland at a destination wedding, especially in a country like Mexico or Spain.  And if you’re stateside then consider a few throw pillows adorned with the symbol of love.  Cakes and confections are an easy sweet themed treat and but don’t overlook the natural beauty that surrounds you, you might be surprised to find a heart already on site!
