Kelly and Justin wed at one of my favorite places on earth – the Four Seasons Koele Lodge on Lanai. The uber luxury yet oh-so cozy resort is nestled high above the ocean in the hills on the tiny Hawaiian island. One of only two resorts on the island (the other is its sister property, the Four Seasons Manele Bay on the beach), this unique oasis gives you the best of Hawaii and the feeling of something very different (and special) at the same time. Intimate libraries, wrap around decks, wild turkeys running around, an orchid greenhouse and world glass golf course are just some of what draw guests here. And that was no different for these newlyweds who brought close friends and family to experience the magic of all of it.
The couple decided on a perfectly appropriate red motif with lush red roses and orchids throughout the event.
The ceremony took place in the Koele Lodge Music Room and Asian lanterns were strung from the chandelier to enhance the theme.
To kick off the festivities, the tradition of a conch horn was blown.
After the ceremony, guests were ushered into the lodge library for dinner where the deeps reds poured out – perfect for the holiday season wedding this was!

White accents contrasted the color and brought in a hint of the bride’s white dress.
Guests dined looking out over the lush grounds and pond while Christmas trees lined the inner walls.
It wouldn’t be a Christmas wedding without a few bride and groom photos in front of the trees.

From ceremony to “reception” and even a snuggle station in a cave, no detail was left undone. How they managed to get a Christmas tree onto the beach without incident is pure holiday magic! I wonder if they surprised each other with real gifts under that tree?
What a great time it must have been to produce a shoot so festive! Especially knowing the bride and groom are getting married next year and what a gift this will end up becoming for them!
For dessert, the couple delighted in a two tiered ruffle cake and two jumbo cupcakes tying in the theme of what winter in California is really like. Oh what fun!
