To wrap up our week of some of the most inspiring shoots and weddings you’ve seen on our blog throughout our first year, we wanted to end with this jaw-dropping trash the dress shoot captured by Beautiful Day Photography. The shoot was a collaboration with the Cayman Islands wedding website, Crystal Blue Weddings and a group of amazing on island talented wedding professionals.
Our models, Cristin and Dave braved the Caribbean waters as we jetted off to Stingray City, off the coast of Grand Cayman in the Cayman Islands. We took the idea of a day after trash the dress session to a whole new level when we added in some of nature’s creatures in the wild – stingrays! Luckily for us, these unusual beasts are a bit more like pets than dangerous predators (they meet several thousand people a week so they are quite tame)…and don’t worry, no people or rays were harmed during our shoot!
To start, we dropped anchor on the Cayman Elusion out in the ocean off the coast of Grand Cayman. Then Cristin and Dave literally took the plunge while our team of photographers captured the moment from the water and a nearby Sea-Doo. 
Once the bride and groom got wet, we headed over to the sandbar known as Stingray City and that’s where the real magic began!
The photographers jumped right in with the rays while one of our guides fed the friendly creatures to keep them swarming our team. They were all so brave!
The rays are so accustomed to people, you can even give them a little kiss. Though at times they looked like something from another planet, they acted like they were part of this new family.
