Designing a Formal Destination Wedding in the Tropics

I love the look of formal paired with casual – that juxtaposition of the two styles merging together and a formal beach wedding or a formal destination wedding in the tropics does just that.  Now that doesn’t mean you have to be stuffy on the sand!  You could be in bling likes these gold bridesmaid dresses that mirror the sand in a more formal way.  Your groom could rock a tux (with or without shoes) and your dress can be as ball gown as you may have dreamt it would be as a little girl, no matter where you decide to wed today.  Drop some chandeliers, mute a few tropical colors for your palette, even tent an unexpected area to heighten the drama of a destination wedding.  The options are endless, there are no rules unless you make them!  Take a look at a few of our more fun but formal destination wedding ideas here.
