5 Beach Wedding Must Have Details

If you’re planning a beach wedding, then don’t forget about those fabulous little details that can make a big difference on the sand!

1.  Provide Parasols!  Your guests will thank you that you’ve shaded them from the sun and perhaps even protected their hair from that wind too.

2.  Offer guests a place to put their shoes!  No one wants to wear heals on the beach so instead give your guests a secure station to leave them behind and encourage guests to go barefoot.  Then, when guests leave the sand, give them the ability to “brush” off the mess if running water isn’t nearby so they can put those pretty shoes back on!

3.  Have a tent or indoor space as a backup plan!  Weather on the beach and can be tricky to predict so be prepared with the proper backup plan in case it rains.

4.  Give your guests all the protection they’ll need!  Just like you would provide a basket in the bathroom with necessities, do so at the beach too.  If someone forgets to put on sunscreen or doesn’t realize the event is outside, have all the handy sun protection options available to them so no one is caught running back to their rooms during the ceremony.

5.  Get seating specific to the sand!  The typical chiavari wedding chair doesn’t sit well in the sand so consider alternatives (that don’t detract from the setting so much either).  A bench is great if the event isn’t too long.  Cushions on the sand with blankets work if your crowd is willing, otherwise a folding chair tends to work a bit better.
