Pastel Weddings on the Beach

Now is a great time to have a destination wedding on the beach! It’s Springtime in the states and if you’re hometown is still buried somewhere under feet of snow, then your “Spring” wedding would be more like a “Winter” wedding, and who wants that when winter is gone (technically)?

Well something else that goes great with Spring, weddings, and the beach: Pastels! These beautiful, light and romantic colors perfectly represent the life of this season as well as the happiness of your loving relationship. Pale blues, pinks, and greens work seamlessly with a beach setting just as well as bright tropical colors do, but can tame the decor and get the attention and focus on the couple and the love they are celebrating. And that’s what the wedding is all about anyway! But just because these colors are light, they can still create a lovely decorative atmosphere at your wedding, that will not be ignored. You can use pastels subtly with one color throughout, or you can use the whole spectrum with a “go big or go home approach” (maybe even wear a colored wedding gown yourself?!), either way you choose, it’s bound to look amazing!

Try implementing beach elements, like beach lanterns or starfish, and paint them different pastel colors, or use succulents in your floral arrangement since they’re already a nice light green color! Even your get-away car can be pastel, like the robin’s egg blue Beetle pictured below.  However you plan to use pastels for your beach wedding, make sure to have fun with it and keep the true meaning for the big day your main focus!
