Infusing Music into Your Destination Wedding

Destination weddings are often infused with the local culture (which of course, we love).  But in what ways can you enhance that visceral experience for your guests?  Music!  Music is one the fastest ways to fall in love with somewhere new.  So why not work with local musicians to create a ceremony or reception ambiance fitting of the location!?  (That includes here in the US folks!  We’ve got some amazing musical talents and a lot of history to incorporate, should you being said “I do” stateside.)  But beyond the beautiful sounds of steel drums or wind instruments hailing from Bali, if you are a lover of music, then consider a few extra touches that take the experience from sound to possibly touch or taste.  Music sheets wrapped as cones for petal tossing, song named table numbers and matching place cards, a violin groom’s cake if that’s his flavor!  The ideas can flow from ceremony to reception, from tabletop to dessert and even welcome bags for your traveling guests (think small local instrument for the kids to play with).  I can almost hear the music playing now…
