Lindy and Dave wed in York Beach, Maine with a travel themed destination wedding in the oh-so color appropriate blue and white palette. With a ceremony overlooking the ocean, the happy couple enjoyed lots of intimate moments with loved ones with a beautiful New England backdrop behind them.
The bride’s something blue was her new initials sewn into the inside of her dress! Great idea!
The bridesmaids wore navy chiffon that flowed perfectly in the wind.
At the couple’s first look, the groom was overheard saying, “you’re an angel!” when he saw his bride.
This wedding was all about the little moments. Photographers, Bethany and Dan Photography shared one such sweet moment with us. “The wedding party and I were standing on a balcony that overlooked the ceremony site. Guests were walking in and waving up at us, everyone excited about the coming ceremony. Dave and Lindy pulled away and looked down at their family and friends, the PERFECT weather day, the ocean and then at one another. I heard her tell Dave, “It’s finally happening, just like we planned. I’m just so happy.” Then she covered her face with her hand and laid her head on his chest and he snuggled her close and said “I know, I love you so much.” It was so so so SO sweet and I was so happy in the moment that we were there to photograph these two people commit the rest of their lives to one another. It truly felt like we were watching our close friends get married.”
After the sweet ceremony, the newlyweds decided to have a little fun at a local arcade.
Back at the reception, the blue and white travel theme continued right down to the hotel-named tables.
Their wedding cake even had a couple who had packed their bags to see the world atop of it!
The fun pair planned a perfected coordinated first dance that the crowd loved!
Then the music lovers gifted guests with a CD for a wedding favor, complete with a monogram travel stamp of course!
