Today’s destination wedding in Las Vegas comes to us from Meg Ruth Photo who not only captured the main event but spent some time with this darling couple out in the desert of Nevada and the famous sign graveyard for some fun photos before the “I do.”

Jennifer and Dennet’s big day included some pretty spectacular wardrobe looks, each fitting of their beautiful photo backdrops.

These imagess served several purposes, one of which included decor at the reception (wait and you’ll see…).

The reception took place at Vdara, high above the strip.  Jennifer told us about the selection process.  “We decided to have our wedding in Vegas for many different reasons but one main reason was because thats were it all began for us as a couple!  Vdara Slik road was selected because it wasn’t your typical wedding ballroom. It was a trendy, upbeat, and unique venue. The perfect place for our Vegas themed Reception.”

Meg shared a few insights into the lovely pair.  “This couple wanted to embrace the Vegas theme while keeping things classic, romantic and beautiful. Vdara was the perfect location for this combination. I was so excited to be a part of their day together.

Unfortunately Dennet’s mother became sick shortly before the wedding and was unable to make the long trip. I made sure that we took photos with Dennet’s phone while we were taking couple photos so she could feel a part of the day. Family is so important to these two. It was evident in the speeches and how much they wanted everyone included.”

Jennifer wore a stunning gown by Lazaro.

Since the wedding was in Vegas after all, a playing card theme was woven throughout the paper goods at the reception.  A fun way to include the location!

We asked the bride to share her advice with future couples.  “My advice for any bride is that planning a wedding can become A LOT overwhelming at times and its easy to lose sight of the things that matter most. So if she can just remember that, that day is just about her and her groom and not try to please everyone else that day she will be able to truly enjoy her day!”

“We really did not have any challenges along the way. The Bellagio and Angelina at the Vdara made sure that everything went smoothly. Angelina at the Vdara was a dream!! I can not say enough nice stuff about her. I highly recommend her to any future bride wanting to get married at the Vdara.”

What’s a Las Vegas wedding reception without a visit from someone special to round out the night?!?  “I wanted to keep the ceremony traditional however my husband wanted to have Elvis marry us. So this was one of our first challenges starting off as husband and wife. So what I decided to do was have a “Vegas themed” reception and have Elvis sing at it, and I kept the ceremony traditional. This way we both got what we wanted.”
