Taryn and Jeffrey tied the knot at their Cabo San Lucas, Mexico destination wedding at the popular Sunset Da Mona Lisa Restaurant, overlooking El Arco and the beautiful ocean. The big day came together with lots of personal touches that Taryn shared with us here.

We selected the location by pictures online through Alec & T website and saw the breathtaking venue Sunset Mona Lisa. We decided to have dinner there, when we did a venue visit 6 months prior. We couldn’t have been more sure, it was definitely the place we wanted to get married. The views, the food, the staff. It was literally like we were on top of the world.

My favorite moment of the day was walking down the aisle with my brother to greet my husband. I couldn’t wait to see him. It was overwhelming how beautiful day was. It was a sense of relief knowing that everything we had planned for had come down to that moment. The party was amazing. I loved seeing my friends and family so happy.

My husband is allergic to flowers so I wanted something that wasn’t going to set him off during the reception. I had asked T what we could do that didn’t involve flowers, she said succulents are always a beautiful option and go well with the Mexico vibe. I then started looking at Pinterest and showed Be That Bride Events my vision and it was done exactly how I had pictured it.

The couple’s advice for other destination wedding brides and grooms? Pick your vendors in this order, photographer, venue, entertainment, flowers. Definitely get a wedding coordinator, it will make a world of difference. Also, I would suggest having a travel agent that all of your guests go through to book hotel reservations. I ended up having to do a lot of the legwork in making sure there wasn’t any issues.
