I’m so excited to share today’s wedding! It has all of my favorite things – the beauty of an Indian wedding, the fun of a beach wedding and a location to die for – the One&Only Palmilla. The stunning Hetal and Shaun welcomed 100 of their closest friends and family to Los Cabos, Mexico for a fabulous destination wedding at the only, One&Only Palmilla. And this wedding weekend was just that – a weekend full of events, three days to be exact, not just the big day!
To kick off the festivities, the first day at the resort, the bride and groom had the Mehendi.
The second day was the Grah Shanti and the wedding day. We asked resident wedding coordinator at One&Only Palmilla, Arianna Ocampo to tell us about working with the family and their very special day. “It was wonderful working with them, I first met with the Mother of the Groom who was very involved in the selection of the location of the celebration afterwards the couple made all the decisions of the entire wedding. I really liked working with them, both were super excited during the entire process and the wedding was a success!”
We cannot get enough of this bride’s stunning style or her beautiful bridesmaids and their lavender looks!
“The ceremony took place at South Lawn followed by Lunch at Market Veranda. Later in the evening we had the Reception at Agua Pool Deck and dancing in the Bahia suite.”
“The entire ceremony was unique, since the elaboration of the tailored Mandap according to the requirements of the parents of the Bride, a beautiful Dolly was made for the Bride who was carried by her male family members during the processional. The Groom also arrived next to all of his family and in a horse to the ceremony.”
And of course the couple drove off to their reception in a decorated golf cart! What a cute idea!
Hetal changed once again before dinner, into this stunning red gown.
According to Arianna, color was key at this party! “The Bride had a vision of using lots of gold, fuchsia, ivory and whites, since those are the colors that the couple identify a lot, specially the gold that is very traditional from India. We mixed them in a beautiful way along with adding lot of phalenopsis orchids in all the areas.”
Given this Indian wedding took place in Mexico, we had to ask – which cuisine was served to guests? “We had Mexican food served at their rehearsal dinner. At their wedding reception we only had Indian specialties and below are some of their dishes including Corn Methi Malai, Shahi Paneer, Malai Kofta, Jeera Rice, Chicken Tikka Masala, Chicken & Vegetarian Samosas along with Sweet and Green Chutney.”
And after dinner? A swanky after party inside for cake and dancing!
