Bridal Fashion Week in New York just wrapped up and there were some simply stunning destination wedding dresses that went down the runways!  One of our longtime favorites for a bride on location is the British designer (and Kate Middleton favorite), Jenny Packham.  Known for some sparkle, a little vintage glamour, lots of luxury and gowns that are lightweight, airy and easy to travel with – she makes a perfect dress for when you’re going on the road.  Check out the brand new Spring 2015 Jenny Packham bridal collection!  Which one is your favorite?  We love a little color and can’t help but swoon over the V-necks and illusion necklines!

It’s bridal fashion week in NYC and we’re just getting back from an amazing trip checking out all the latest and greatest gowns from the designers around the world.  One such couture bridal designer that we just adore for destination weddings is Jenny Packham.  Since Princess Kate rocks her frocks frequently on the red carpet, this British designer has become a household name but long before that brides across America have been swooning for her sexy looks.  Today we are showing you a few runway shots from her Spring 2014 collection, which will be hitting the road for trunk shows across the country in the coming weeks.  Her light, delicate fabrics, use of layers and relaxed sophistication make her a perfect choice for a destination wedding dress.  Take a look at some of our faves from her show!

New Destination Wedding Dresses by Jenny Packham

It’s that time of year again – bridal market time!  That means all the designers have just debuted their new wedding dress collections on the runways of fashion week and we’ve got a few first looks from some of my favorite designers for destination weddings.  Today, we’re taking a look at the new lovelies by Jenny Packham.  A favorite of Kate Middleton, Jenny designs beautiful exotic wedding dresses, many with an art deco vintage vibe (perfect for a Great Gatsby era I do).

Her dresses are light and flowy, perfect for many destination wedding climates and locales and her looks are always sophisticated so no matter how simple a silhouette, it’s always fabulous enough for a formal wedding!

If you’re looking for sleeves this season, her collection incorporates a few wedding dresses with overlays with the shoulders covered.

Destination Wedding Dresses

It’s Friday and what better time to melt over a few fabulous fashions and destination wedding dresses?  Chances are if you just got engaged, you’re on the hunt for that perfect match in a gown.  So here are a few wedding dress trends that go great with a destination wedding.

Trumpet Silhouette:  This shape allows you to move more than a mermaid gown but isn’t as big of a skirt as a ball gown.  The perfect combination for a destination wedding dress!

Tulle:  Tulle is lightweight and airy in case you’re in a hot climate.  It also blows beautifully in the wind when layered in large skirt or holds its shape when tightly dressed around your figure.

Lace:  Lace will always be a wedding dress favorite, but in this case it can also express the culture of the location you’ve opted to get married at.  Getting married in Spain?  Spanish lace to show off your flair!  French lace looks great at a more formal affair and a little hint of lace can dress up an otherwise more casual destination wedding look.

Cap Sleeves:  Windy beach weather, possible rain climate, or church appropriate is a beautifully soft and romantic cap sleeve.  Be respectful of your religious rules or simply cover up a bit from the elements and a cap sleeve leaves him wanting more (in a good way).

Low Back:  One way to get a sexy sophisticated wedding dress look is with a low back.  Just think, during your ceremony guests will likely be looking at your back so why not show it off!?  …If you’re event is appropriate for showing a little skin that is!

Happy shopping ladies!  And check back soon for our destination wedding dress galleries coming this spring!
