Mary and TJ had a very special day in mind when they set out on their destination getaway. A vow renewal! The intimate event included just one very special guest – their daughter Scarlett! Celebrating ten years of marriage, the lovely pair planned a trip to Paris (their favorite city) where Mary would don a fabulous black wedding dress by Vera Wang.
With destination wedding photographer Rochelle Cheever in tow, the family spent plenty of quality time together captured all on film. “We met her during a trip to Rome and three years and three cities later, she’s practically part of our family.”

“We did a private reading of letters–just the three of us–in one of whimsical hot air balloon canopies in the Saint James’ garden.”

“We spent the earlier part of the day visiting the sites together as documented by Rochelle. Of course, the carousel was, by far, Scarlett’s favorite stop along the way. But the Eiffel Tower brought out a little Eloise in her as well.”

The perfect day, just for three.

Congratulations Mary and TJ on your long lasting love!

Looking for a truly international wedding? Well look no further, today we give you wedding decor from two continents, a couple with roots in three and a guest list that spans four. Today’s

From Mariette, “When Benjamin and I wrote down our expectations about the wedding we agreed that we wanted a BIG week long celebration, we wanted things to be simple and fun, and, if possible, give all our guests the opportunity to participate in some creative way. We made and prepared everything ourselves. The day of the wedding many of our friends spread out through the countryside gathering wildflowers to add to the handmade decorations. It was a week long celebration where many of the guests contributed.“

Mariette’s dress was a surprise gift, designed and made by her mother in South Africa. Yep, we’re jealous too! It looked quite perfect on the gorgeous bride at her picturesque outdoor ceremony, complete with beautiful, simplistic details and even more beautiful symbolic rituals.

For dinner, nothing less than true South African barbeque paired with French wine, cheese and bread, of course!

After the meal of a lifetime came to an end, guests entertained the newlyweds with prepared skits, songs and speeches to keep everyone laughing long into the night. Love, laughter and a whole lot of culture sounds like quite the perfect
